If you need to cancel benefits following the death of a pensioner/beneficiary or you wish to learn more about survivor benefits the Service Canada/Canada Pension Plan website can help.

The Last Post Fund:
If you need financial assistance to arrange services for a veteran the Last Post Fund may be able to assist you. “The Last Post Fund (LPF) is a non-profit corporation organization whose purpose is to ensure, insofar as possible, that no war veterans, military disability pensioners, or civilians who meet the wartime service eligibility criteria are denied a dignified funeral and burial for lack of sufficient funds. The LPF operates in cooperation with, and is supported financially by Veterans Affairs Canada.”
